ADMISSIONS
International Center for Montessori Studies offers Teacher Training Programs that are MACTE Accredited and AMS Affiliated for Early Childhood ages 3-6 and Elementary ages 6-12.
Admission Process
Learning objectives
Principles and practices introduced to the Adult Learner during the course include:

Preparation of the environment.

Use of the Montessori materials in the early childhood or elementary environment.

Leadership skills such as observation of children, record keeping, assisting students in becoming independent and life long-learners, and parent-school partnerships.

Developmental stages of development and sensitive periods.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college/university or equivalent *

Teacher credentials if applicable

Essay explaining what personal attributes you possess that led you to believe that working in Montessori with children would be a career where you would find success, satisfaction and growth?
* If a candidate without a Bachelors Degree, but that has completed high school or attained a GED wishes to complete the course for Early Childhood only s/he will receive an Associate Credential after completing all course requirements.

The American Montessori Society awards teacher education scholarships to aspiring Montessori teachers in support of their professional growth.

The TEACH Early Childhood® Scholarship Program provides scholarships and comprehensive support to early learning educators and directors, family child care educators and owners, out-of-school-time educators, and child care facility owners. Funded by the Florida Division of Early Learning, the program makes higher education more attainable by offering a variety of scholarships for early learning credentials, college credits and certificates, and degrees in early childhood education or related fields.
